The Mobile Orthopedic Care Unit is a concept that is only available at Raleigh Orthopaedic. It helps to provide full sports medicine services at races, recreational sporting events, tournaments, health fairs, etc. in which other providers are only able to offer basic first aid and taping; we will be able to offer so much more. Our mobile unit provides all the modalities that Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists need to help patients right on-site including hot packs, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, combo therapy, three treatment tables (for taping, dry needling, massage, etc.), two seated tables, a computer desk, and a check-in/out area. The mobile unit offers all these features in the comfort of air conditioning with a television in the back for entertainment. The unit also comes with an awning on the passenger’s side where athletes can utilize the recovery boots or be stretched while staying in the shade.
Raleigh Orthopaedic’s Mobile Unit will be used to help provide great services and outreach in our area as well as provide a great marketing service for the clinic. Our mobile unit has already participated and is scheduled to participate in events with Camp Gladiator, the Carolina Hurricanes 5k and Caniac Carnival, the City of Oaks Marathon, the Legends Race, tennis tournaments at the Cary Tennis Park, the City of Raleigh Wellness and Benefits Health Fair, local high school football coverage, and many other local events. This mobile unit is going to help continue to set Raleigh Orthopaedic apart as the premier provider of orthopedic care in the area.
