Raleigh Edwards Mill Staff

The professional staff at our Edwards Mill Orthopaedic Performance Center consists of Licensed Physical Therapists, Licensed Athletic Trainers, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists. Edwards Mill Orthopaedic Performance Center has years of combined experience training athletes of all ages.

As a division of Raleigh Orthopaedic, we can help expedite access to appointments with the 27 orthopaedic surgeons and 1 podiatrist at the Raleigh, North Raleigh, Cary, Garner, Holly Springs, and Panther Creek offices for ROC. Ancillary services are also available through ROC including urgent care, x-ray, MRI, Orthotics/Pedorthics, and durable medical equipment.

Sports Physical Therapists 

Cassidy Aiello, PT, DPT

Cassidy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her degree in Exercise and Sport Science, with minors in Neuroscience with Sports Psychology interest, and Medical Spanish. She then received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Duke University of School of Medicine. While studying at Duke, Cassidy interned with Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League for two seasons. She has experience in professional sport rehabilitation and treating college and high school athletes of various sports. 

Cassidy is also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and has her Golf Fitness Specialization (GFS). She is certified in Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) through Owens Recovery Science and is currently studying to become a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Cassidy received her Level 1 Stecco Fascial Manipulation (FM), allowing her to specialize in fascial manipulation techniques, while also actively using cupping and IASTM as manual techniques. 

Cassidy has worked for Raleigh Orthopaedic since 2021, where she started APC Raleigh, and now is the team lead for APC Edwards Mill. She enjoys working with all patients and getting to know them, helping everyone reach their goals. She is very active herself and enjoys time with her family, dog, and attending Canes games. 


Thomas Willauer, PT, DPT

Thomas graduated from UNC in 2012 with a bachelors in Exercise and Sports Science and Elon University in 2015 with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. He is also a board-certified orthopedic specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association.

Thomas has worked as a Sports PT for 8 years and is passionate about helping athletes and active individuals reach their full potential. Thomas is an avid runner as well and has completed over 10 marathons and an ultramarathon.

Daniel Berman, PTA

Daniel recently relocated North Carolina from Florida. He graduated from Miami Dade College has been a practicing licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for the past 5 years. He has certifications in Trigger Point Therapy of the upper and lower extremities as well as M1 Graston Technique. Daniel has a passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds achieve their functional goals and optimize performance to become the best version of themselves. Outside of the clinic, you can usually find him on the floor with his dog, staring at plants, working out in the garage, and/or spending time outdoors with his family.

Jessica Kelley

I was recruited to play volleyball at Shaw University where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with a Pre-Athletic Training concentration. I joined Raleigh Ortho in 2021 as a Therapy Aide at the Cary location. I am currently working towards becoming a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). I have had experience working with various age groups and athletes during my time at Raleigh Ortho. I have trained and coached volleyball for several years and trained in both group settings and personal training settings.

I graduated from ECU with a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology. I served as a personal trainer during my time in school. I have worked as a Therapy Aide at Raleigh Orthopaedic since 2021. I am currently a Certified Personal Trainer through NASM. I have a passion for helping people achieve their physical goals through exercise. I also enjoy music, videogames, and good food!
